Live Music in the Piano Lounge: Walt Burkett

Thursday nights, the J invites you to enjoy free live music in the piano lounge from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. The Firehall Cafe at the J offers their full menu of food and beverages until 9:00 PM. Curated by local musician Victor Pruner, the Live in the Piano Lounge series is designed to bring a variety of local musicians to engage the community. Walt Burkett is a well sought after guitarist involved in many local projects across a wide variety of genres. Specializing in chord-melody solo guitar, vocal/guitar duos, jazz instrumental ensembles, rich-harmony classic rock and to round things off, a David Bowie Tribute Band. His performances have been known to include bossa, samba, tangos, jazz and pop standards and classic rock. He plays both classical and string guitar.
