Community Invited to Help Fill Container Bound for Haiti

November 19, 2025

Get Simple Box of Lynden is partnering with local nonprofit New Generation Haiti to bring hope and help to communities in need. As part of this effort, Get Simple Box is donating a shipping container that will be filled with essential supplies and sent directly to support ongoing relief and ministry work in Haiti.

The container will be used to ship critical medical equipment and supplies needed to upgrade a clinic in rural Haiti into a fully functioning hospital—one of the few in the region serving vulnerable and low-income families.

After the core medical items are loaded this week, remaining space will be filled through a community initiative called “Fill the Gaps,” inviting Whatcom County residents to contribute high-priority items such as food staples and basic care supplies.

Every donated jar of peanut butter, bag of rice, or pack of hygiene items helps maximize the impact of the shipment and ensures that the container arrives full of resources that directly strengthen the work on the ground in Haiti.

“Our mission has always been about serving people, not just delivering shipping containers,” said Ross Black, Founder of Get Simple Box. “What I love about this project is that even from far away, we get to play a small part in helping people receive practical care and real hope.”

Get Simple Box, known for providing portable storage containers for rent, sale, and moving, has long believed in using its resources to make a difference for those in need. Beyond business, the company invests in service projects and donations that strengthen communities and build up people.

New Generation Haiti is dedicated to breaking cycles of poverty through leadership development, education, and spiritual growth. Their mission is rooted in the belief that lasting change comes through practical support paired with a deep understanding of God’s love.

“This is a tremendous opportunity to bring hope where it’s needed most,” said Mike Leland, Founder of New Generation Haiti. “On a political level, Haiti feels very stuck, but on a personal and spiritual level, we’re seeing breakthrough.”
